But don't think this topic fits in well with any forum....so here's the question:

When copyrighting a song, should one use a Sound Recording form or a Performing Art form? In the past I've always used a SR form, but what do you think is the best? I don't really care if people play my stuff live, I'd rather protect my recording, but anyways....
 
What do you want to copyright, the recording or the songs? If you are both the writer/composer and the performer on the recording, form SR will let you copyright both the songs and the recording. If you are just copyrighting the songs/compositions, then PA is probably better. This is all explained quite thoroughly on the copyright website: www.copyright.gov
