well, ive been a mac/logic pro user for over a year now. and my mac is starting to bite the dust. i orginally was going to go the PC/protools LE route, or PC cubase SX route. but since i was practically given a Imac, and could get logic pro at a great discount i obveously went with logic/mac
the thing is logic is WAY too much for me. i do minimal sequencing, besides audio to score to add midi drum samples. and i do some looping sometimes. and since im wanting to upgrade my comp, i thought maybe id like to go the PC/protools route now, since i do eventually want to upgrade to protools HD. also, i could build a kickass PC for under 1000 bucks, but buying a powermac will cost over 2000 for the cheapest one. i could get a new imac again, but there arnt enough firewire/usb ports, and theres no way of expanding with one of those.
if someone could give me some guidance that would be siiick
right im running, a motu 828mkii, presonus digimax into the motu via lightpipe, and a presonus firepod (just the preamps) into the other analog ins on the motu. all into logic pro 7 on a 800 mhz apple imac witha gig of ram
