Thinking about buying a Edirol FA-101.

I am racking my brains trying to select an audio interface for recording on my laptop. I am hearing good things about the Edirol FA-101, especially on laptops. My biggest concern is good preamps and Windows XP drivers. I will be doing mostly guitar, bass and vocals. Any suggestions?

Windows XP
1 Gb ram
2 Ghz Dual-Core Processor

I know people who like their hardware... not a lot of screaming... probably a good sign, but as with anything, YMMV.
