Heres my signal chain I think thats what its called


I know I could get a little bit more clarity trackin out each instrument so thats the first step im gonna make in my new recordings.


I run my oktave mk 219 through a mackie 1402-vlz pro
and use a roland vs880ex to have add some compression before sending it into the audigy 2 line in.


Im recording with adobe audition and mix mastering with waves plugins.

i don't mix/listen to much hip-hop but this sounds good to me.

kick is a little "boxy" for my taste
if you cut some of thoes freq's you may be able to turn it (the kick) up a little

not a big fan of the reverb (on vox) choices.

sounds good.

Ha Ha that was the only track on the album we didnt re record from the demo stage.

So what your hearing was the first version.

I felt the performance and atmosphere on the track might not of been somethin we could get again and left it the same.

Hallo Mista Dex! Here goes my 2 cents!
Comments about the song Children OF:
I like how the vocals sit in the mix but really hate the bass... Try limiting it, to make all peaks equal, I mean, reduce the dynamics of it. I feel as the bass is fighting for attention with the vocals. Also sharing some of 60Hz/80Hz from the bass with the kick would do good! I think the Hats are too much high, cut something around 13k5
About the song, I would add more interest to the groove. If you want to do something like 2 pac, don´t add too much!
