The Zombie Dog "Screw it, we're going on tour" tour

Hat STYLE. Not contents.
So I'm starting a new band with my older brother called Zombie Dog. We're gonna spend a month practicing and getting awesome, and then we're gonna spend two months on tour. It's gonna be totally awesome!

To that end, does anyone want to help us find gigs? Do you know of any cool bars or anything that need bands during June or July?
 
Unfortunately all the cool bars I know are gonna want to hear you before booking you into their clubs.
But that's down here in the south. Other places may do things differently.
 
Yeah... That's probably true. Hopefullly, we'll have some demo material to distribute soon!

Your original post makes you sound like you are 14, have been playing for about 3 months, and you believe everybody is just gonna love you, just because you show up with your guitars in hand. "We're gonna spend a month practicing and getting awesome...?" Really, give me a break.

This has GOT to be the most assinine, adolescent thread in YEARS.

Harsh!

Yeah, we anticipate that it will be quite difficult to get gigs. Which is why I'm posting here to see if I can get help/leads getting the gigs.

It's a small band, and we're both decent enough musicians. Will we be the greatest band ever? No. Will we be good enough that we can put on a good show and help a bar bring in a few more customers in a night? Probably.

We're just trying to have a fun summer. If we can line up actual gigs, that will make things easier. Even if we can't we'll still play open-mics, public parks, whatever.

Oh, man, the last person to accuse me of being "harsh" was my ex- and after eight years, I am STILL not over her! Now, I gotta feel bad about hurting your feelings, too?

dude, I have no idea whether your band will do worth a crap or not but I do love your attitude.

Whaere are you planning to do your touring?
If it gets anywhere near Florida let me know. I won't have any gigs for you but I'll definitely get you drunk or feed you if you don't drink!

We're planning to start in New York and probably make our way to the midwest and back.

So we probably won't hit Florida. :( It might just be worth the trip north to see us though! :D
