Great stuff, BH!
What do you call this style, industrial, heavy, electronic? Big mix of everything I guess, kinda NIN at times. Real good, you'd need a special kind of voice for this. Love the mix spectrum.

Joey :)

Rob Zombie/Disturbed gone electronica...:eek::D

I can definately hear this in a movie...a bit eerie..a bit dirty..some suspense.

What I don't really care for, is the reed organ or whatever it is set on..the higher pitch grates on my ears after the intro at 0:27. It sounds great in the beginning of the intro and other parts.

I love a dangerous sounding bass.

joeym - Yeah maybe industrial, not sure. I put it under Indie on soundclick..?.Thanks for the listen Joey

true-eurt - Hi true, nice to hear from you. Yes that organ thing does indeed cut straight through the ear canal. It's right back in the mix too, hardly there but boy can you hear it. It's there in lieu of a vocal really, if I take it out there's not much left to listen to! Thanks for checking in

That's certainly a unique sound you got goin' on there. Carry on :D

squibble & Greg. Thanks for the positive feedback. Not having much joy on the vocal front though

The recording quality and mixing is good. This tune sounds like it belongs in a Tomb Raider movie soundtrack.

Hey Bulls Hit, you definitely have a style that is easily identifiable !:D
Thats way cool imho....dig the rthymic groove on this , mix sounds big ,full ,punchy...really good....very atmospheric... would work really well with video as is now....without some kind of visual thing, the average listener may lose intrest(as they do with most instrumental stuff).....I dig it though as is and think you could go either way...Im in the same boat with the tune I just posted ....be cool to see what you do with this....

Loved this one. Certainly in keeping with your style which is a good thing.

I did burn this one to disc and cranked it on the stereo...sounded sweet. Tried (not all that hard really - but I tried :o) to come up with some lyrical and/or melody ideas to no avail. Sorry, I enjoyed it though.

ocnor & queepy - Thanks guys. Yeah a soundtrack is probably the best I can hope for. I'm just not cut out for vocals

heatmiser - hey man thanks for giving it a go!

I like it, it sounds very cool, and I could definitely see this on a soundtrack. My only thought (and I can't believe I'm about to say this), is that I think the drums sound too good. I'd love to hear them mangled with some weird distortion, resonance, gating...something...anything to make it sound a little more industrial. Especially the snare. I think that would take it to the next level. Just my opinion :)

I'm pretty sure my vocal style wouldn't fit this, so I'm not even gonna go there :D

Best Regards,

Dave DeWhitt

Techno-metal-house-industrial? Fun and interesting. I would loose about half of that techno-dribbling and go for a Rob Zombie-ish vibe with a scary singer. OR, lose all the techno-tickling and get someone like Joey to do an old-school, balls-out metal romp. Just thoughts.

:)

Wow, man... Yeah, the sounds you are using hit a major cool factor with me. Raised the hair on my neck in the beginning...

This is totally subjective, but the chord progression you use doesn't really fit the dark sound of the music. ...and I *love* the sounds you're using.

I can hear some wispy vocals, along with some hard-hitting screams... Man, this is all over the place.

I really dig your style, man. Very cool mesh of sounds. It works quite well. Keep it up!

dewhitt - yep that's not a bad idea. I could certainly give that a go. Cheers man

maximusbs - haha techno-dribbling, like it. Yeah I would happily lose all that if meant getting some good vocals on it, old school, new school, balls out or balls tucked away discretely most of the time an only let out for a special occasion, whatever. Thanks for your thoughts

PoeticIntensity - Interesting that you mention the chord progression. Some of my previous tunes I felt were getting a little too progressive/obscure with the chord progressions so I deliberately kept this one simple with the A-D change and then the boring chromatic rundown in the 'chorus'. Some of my alltime favourite songs are simple in the extreme - it's the killer vocal that brings them together. Which of course is what this one lacks. But thanks for the comments, I appreciate them
