The new single is called "repeats itself" I didnt have time to do a real good mix of it before I left for work.Itl get polished later on.I did the entire song in terms of playing all the instruments recording and singing. I spent three days on this one.

Cheers

Some really powerful stuff in the sounds and arrangement. Nice panning, and creative quirks.

The early crash washes sound dry and out front....sort of orphaned from the rest of the mix. Verb? Drop a little in the mix?

Lots of good bottom end to drive things and support the top.

Sounds like the vox is shaved pretty severely in the mids and low mids. I think you may have lost a little of the natch'l guts in your voice. MHO

definitely appreciate the advice!! The low end is definitely there (i may have to cut some of that back to let some of the mids through) but the vocals are all weird cuz I just made my vocal booth and had to deal with some anomalies that im not generally used to. It really seemed like the room was sucking alot of the power out of my voice , I will have to do some correction on that. Sadly , for the next 2 weeks im up at work and can only think and plan about what Im going to do with the mix . Hopefully my ambition will still be around by that time!

Cheers

OK here goes....

First, let me say that I'm glad to see someone using Creamware.
Overall impression; Very good writing, good performances, good recordings, good mixing, good overall sound. Glad to hear that the vocals aren't buried in the mixes. Kicks ass for this genre. will forward to my kids...
1.Repeats Itself: good mix, very rich
2.Losing my Faith: great impact
3.Don't go away: very good, guitar solos sounded off somehow, not the performance so much as the sound, key or tuning? ...the old lady walked thru the room and said that she would buy that if it was on iTunes.
4.Studio track...: will there be vocals ?
5:All for you: obviously unfinished ? thin sounding compared to the other tracks, good basic track
6:Quality of life: brilliant! ... go ahead and take it up to the present day.
7: Hypocrites: needs a keyboard sound in there somewhere to "glue" it together and broaden the sound. Set the keyboard to "Hammond B3".
8:remember me: Interesting , like listening to two versions of the same song at once
9:Smoke and mirrors: Very good, my favorite, ... vocals?
10: Jump...: good , could use re-mix or mastering with more bottom
11: Where..: bass drum sound sucks, otherwise good
12:all time...: very good, could use balance or mastering

PS: When it's finished, send it off to a trusted ( professional ) mastering lab... do not master it yourself...that other set of ears and high-end pro equipment and setting, monitors, etc...make all the difference.
