Here's another tune i penned the other night...I play all the instruments here and it shows...it's just a last minute thing. I'm concerned about the writing. I wrote it, yet I don't think it's very good....I'm pretty insecure about writing. Do you have any thought about this song? Thanks. John

Here's the .mp3 link:

the sun is shining in my little world
the clouds are rolling by
the world outside has cried

strip malls and concrete lots
beggars on every
street that you name it's a lot

sometimes I know just when I'm trippin'
sometimes I know just when I'm givin'
sometimes a brother needs a hand
sometimes you know just when you're there (repeat)

the need for writing of what's gone anew
my friends are drifting by
the world has cried outside

memories that go nowhere
darkness that hides inside
sometimes I go nowhere

(chorus)

Yeah, the recording could use some work, but that's not what you were asking about, so anyway...

This song feels very "60s". It's not really my cup of tea. The imagery and lyrics seem ok. There's nothing spectacular about them, but they're not bad.

The melody is decent.

Overall it's a decent song. If you took your time and recorded and mixed really well, it could be pretty good. But in it's current format, you won't get too many listens.
