Whoa, something's going on somewhere in the highs or high-mids on the hats and cymbals. I'm not good enough with the frequencies to know where to steer you, though. Just sounds weird on my system. The kick has no balls behind it, too much click and not enough thump for me.

I know you don't wanna hear this... but a better monitoring system would probably pay for itself in saved time not guessing so much on your mixes. I noticed on Parade that you didn't seem to be dialing in the mix with each post, as much as completely changing each time. It really seems like you're just guessing and crossing your fingers. Also, a multi-track program that'll let you audition your settings in real-time and add effects non-destructively would help a lot.

These are good tunes, and you should be able to spend more time writing and arranging than trying to get the mix straightened out.

sheesh...all of asudden its like "alive" in this clinic..

kormaniac:....thanks but i just listened to this version on speakers as opposed to headphones ..and it sucks...what the hell did i do???

pglewis:....yep your right this mix sucks..an beleive me i would LOOOOVVE to be able to spend ALL MY TIME not worrying about the mixes....:D

cool song. very metallica feeling. Fade to Black, One, etc.

the solo at the end had that Neil Schon, "Don't Stop Believing" thing going on. prett cool. I would have liked to have heard more lead work in the tune and more elecric guitar.

Is it buchet as in bucket or booshay?

No. Nonono. The mix doesn't suck. That's the problem with pointing out the stuff that I hear that I think can be improved, it gives the impression that I think the whole thing blows chunks.

Hey Jamal ...

I didn't hear the original ... just the new version with the drums and more production ...

Very nice playing and singing. I think this is one of my favorites from you so far. I really like the harmony and just the overall sound of it is great.

The only thing that I didn't care for were the drums (and this is just subjective) ... For me, this wouldv'e worked better as just an acoustic tune, or maybe with the drums not being as busy as they were ... :)

Overall, however, I think the writing, singing and guitar playing on this was great! :)

Nice feel to it. I liked the music. The acoustic sounded real nice - very rich, almost too bassy. Weird vocal sound - still trying to decide whether I like it or not. Decent harmonies. Liked the lead at the end - both the part and the guitar tone.

I had trouble understanding a few of the words. During the acoustic sections, the vox were a bit low. The yell that comes in at about 2:16 sounded a bit sharp. Quite a bit of fret noise at the begining - probably not too much, but close.

Good song overall. Trip...

jamal - I can't really add much useful for you. The song is interesting. A couple of parts did put me in mind of Neil Young - but just in spots.

I could do without some of the vocal yelling, but I guess that's a taste thing. :) Keep it up,
