I was reading review on a converter and the guy was like, this converter has better high frequencies and sounds better on such and such material, while this converter is less open BUT sounds better on such and such material.

I'm thinking. WHy the heck would I want to buy a less open converter for such and such a sound. Why don't I get the totally transparent one and then eq to get the sound I want.

WHY waste money.

ANYHOW, A friend and I were testing clocks, and we came to the same conclusion. Even though its the same converter, one clock had more powerful highs but the other one gave a better sense of space.

Left to me, I would choose the more expensive clock, just cos its more expensive. NOw if I just had $1200 for a dedicated clock.

and the point is...
