Hi, now that I have more time I want to be able to use my workstation more. I have never recorded on more than 6 tracks, four for vocals and two for the backing track. I have a lot more harmonies I need to put down but don't know how to use the tracks 7 and 8 as I can't see any input places for the mic. This is probably simple but the manual isn't telling me in layman terms. HELP please. Thankyou.

You can stack a bunch of channels Virtually! Or you can bounce down what you have to one channel freeing up more micpre channels you have options here.

Thanks, I studied my manual so I now know what bouncing means...will try it out tomorrow..I'm such a novice at all this!

In most standalone units I've ever seen, the inputs are not related to the tracks. They might go to the identical numbered track by default, but you assign inputs to tracks, so your problem should be easily resolved.
