All I want to do is record an old cassette off of a boombox. I have Music Match Jukebox 4.4 , a Nero Demo, Windows Media 6.4, Real Player v10.5. and Quick Time 6.5.

I have the boombox wired to the line in. I can't find anyway to use the software I have to record it. Is it there? Is there another simple cheap way?

If it's a PC running 98 + it'll have a wave recorder in acesssories - it's not much chop though. -Better to go with free Audacity OR BUY waverepair - the latter particularly as it has very good functions for treating tape related noise as well as EQ, normalise etc etc..
