i grew up on cool edit and upgraded to adobe long ago
i always used buses but never sends.... there are many reasons why that is bad
1. Buses dont allow effect panning...so if your using a reverb on a bus with multiple instruments or vocals....you can pan those individual tracks but they will never reach the
(((((stereo width))))))
that panning the track and panning the vocal effect (reverb) will achieve
trust me....your mixes will be 50% wider...and you will be amazed.
my problem is simple...tonight i taught myself how to use sends...i figured out that the effect has to be 100% wet in a send....because if its not i guess you hear a double of your dry vocal back at yourself.
i also found out autotune doesnt have a wet control (far as i know) and if i use it in a send will always shoot a dub back at me....so i use it simply in a bus....
but how come the echo effect in the adobe audition program not have a wet control?? because when i turn it up it (in the send) it raises my dry vocal along with it
i wonder if choruses are 100% wet and can be used in a send...
if you have any input to further school me and anyone reading on how to properly use sends to buses
please put it here.....we all need to learn together
