OK- I'm asking you to name names.
What Amp do you use for your monitoring Circuit ?

Q1: Consumer/Professional Answer C or P

Q2: Output per channel: Answer- number reflecting the RMS watts per channel on a stereo amp or half that for a mono amp.

Q3: Noise Floor: When you have this bad boy plugged in and there is no signal applied to any input, and you have the volume cranked to 50% how bad is the hiss?

Answer:
A) What hiss?
B) Not bad.
C) I'm sorry but this Amp sucks.

My unorthodox choice:

1. Consumer

2. I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but from the spec sheet:

Minimum RMS Output Power per Channel: 8 ohms, 20Hz to 20kHz, 0.04% THD = 70W 6 ohms, 20Hz to 20kHz, 0.06% THD = 80W

Dynamic Power per Channel: (IHF) 8/6/4/2/ ohms = 100/120/145/170W

3. A. At full volume, I can hear a bit of hiss when I put my head next to the speaker. Too bad my sound card doesn't fare as well - when the receiver is set to monitor that channel, there's quite a bit of hiss at half volume.

Output per channel: 250 rms

No Hiss

I've had the quested boxes for a year...the Ashley power amp is brand new seeing how my old Hafler finally kacked.

(I designed a completely new balanced input section, Low ESR caps directly coupled to the output transistors, and bypassed the output relays)

(only $80 thanks to the crackle from those notoriously unreliable output relays[I think it went for over $500 in the mid 80's] - plus I got two heavy duty computer cooling fans that the guy tried to 'fix' the problem with.:))
