You know that "new" tune?... theres a reason it was never on any previous studio pressings. It didnt make the grade back then... and I am sure it hasnt improved a bit since it got voted off the island.

There ought to be a law against posthumus(sp?) releases. They do nothing but dillute an artist's work and line the pockets of people who could care less.

It didn't make any "studio pressings" because cobain is dead. It is a scratch recording from 1994, a year after In Utero (e.g., what would have been a "new" song).

Personally I think it's a really good tune. It's not going to make me spend money on a dozen other tracks I already have though.

I'll wait for it to appear in the box set which will have more rare material.

Yeah. That can sometimes seem to be the case.

However, I thought Rhoads' "Dee" outtake on Ozzy's Tribute album was tasteful and classy. In fact, the entire album was well done with seemingly good intentions.

You may have found one of the only exceptions to that rule. I also thought that that album was done with very sincere intentions.
Unlike the Cobain, Beatles, Hendrix, etc... stuff, it wasn't ever sold as "the unreleased treasure that was mysteriously overlooked and locked in a vault until now". It was simply a few live performances and a totally unedited version of Dee, which I found absolutely intimate and almost haunting, in that the last sounds on the album are Randy getting up from his chair and leaving the room.
