the new mbox pro - am i compatible?

hey all,

i know this is a basic question, but since AVID isn't exactly amazing at straightforward answers, i thought yall would be able to deliver.

i currently have an mbox mini, protools LE 8, on a G5 (PPC).

I want the the new black mbox pro (with inserts!).

the question:

Can I?

assume i have the necessary RAM and other requirements; do i need an intel mac to use the box/the new driver control panel, or will my current powerpc system do?

is the mbox (regular black one) an option if not?

If you're talking about the new "MBOX 3 Pro" (3rd generation)...
You will need Intel-MAC, since the MBOX 3 Pro only works with Pro Tools 8.0.4+

?Mac OS X 10.6.1, 10.6.2, 10.6.3, and 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard)
?Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard)
An Intel-based Mac is required, PowerPC-based Macs are not supported.
