It's finally finished.... Can't wait to get it.... I had them custom make one to all my likings (yeah im picky) and they liked the combination of features I asked for so much, they have turned it into a new model..

Mine is the first one.... Watch this spot for some samples of Acoustic guitar and Vocals recorded with my 4033 through the TB-10....

For those of you who don't know anything about Davisound, Heres a link...

www.davisound.com

(This isn't spam, im no way connected with them other than being there customer...)

Uhhhh...what is it? Preamp, compressor, both? Tube, discrete, IC?

There's nothing on the site.

It's a newer version of the triphazor. I bet he got a level 5. That lucky bastard.

It's a 2 channel solid state pre... Intrument in's on the front and back, and XLR ins on the front and back... all the outs are on the back.. An XLR and a 1/4 out for each channel...

Has 48V phantom, and Phase switches for each channel..

I like all my connections to be on the front of a unit, for easy access, but at the same time, I have the oprion of going in and out from the back....

Pretty cool set up...

Totally handmade, with a wood chasis and faceplate

Oh, and 2 huge old fashioned analog lit VU meters on the front...

It's a beaut!

It will be similar to this.

I paid $750, but they are going to be close to $950

I think they lost money on me.... The work alone is mindbogling... every single piece put together and soldered by hand...

I'm REAL interested in your thoughts on this piece of gear. I've had my eye on Davisound for the last year, the four channel unit in particular.

Always nice to have that option.... ;)

[make up your own joke here]

So what's the difference between this and their other mic pre's? It looks like all their others are either tube or IC-based, right?

Gotta love them ass jokes, especially, when they come from a man with a pussy for an avatar.... :D

Well, they have a 6 channel Pre, but it has no VU meters and all of the connections are on the back...

I just need 2 channels, and I wanted to have the VU meters, and a choice on connections on the front..

They have a tube model also, but I don't like tubes... im a solid state man....

So basically my pre is that 6 channel model, except mine is only 2 channels and has the extra features I want...
