How do you get it? I've heard it in lots of songs, but a good example is Billy Joel's "Pressure" - and really, a lot of the Nylon Curtain album.

I think the effect is really interesting, and I'd like to experiment with it a bit - but I can't figure out how he got that sound. Maybe a light flange, and a little bit of a delay? The vocal track sounds too perfect to be doubled. What do you all think?

A flanger & chorus can do it... taken to the extreme, you can get a robotic sound also...

Yo Eury:

Hire my old girlfriend, Daphne.

Green Hornet:D :p

What do you have to do to Daphny to get that sound?
Does she cum with a manual?????

On a more serious note, you can easily get the msound you're after by shelving a lot of high and low, and boosting midrange with a quite narrow Q

Use your Parametric to boost that 1khz with a high Q and you will get that telephone type metalic thing.
