I've never tried the acoustic soloist...but I have heard Fenders Acoustisonic Amps...and boy do they suck. I think your probably best off with an acoustic amp, but not a fender. They do electric amps really well but not so much for what you need. I'd give a shot at a Yorkville Am150...It's probably the best sounding acoustic guitar amp you will find out there, and beleive me I've heard most of them. I'm selling mine that I just bought for about $450 (flexible) and they retail for $560 on Musicians friend. It's great for gigging. It's got two channels, one with XLR mic input, on top of that the amp has onboard effects which, surprisingly, are really nice. I don't usually like onboard effects on amps (ie, marshall MgDFX) but this one is an exception. Shoot me an email if your interested before I put it up on ebay mdoyle@berklee.net
