The left head slightly wobbles

I have a vintage teac 33-8 8 track 1/2" recorder. It seems to record just fine but when I rewind it, The left hub wobbles slightly(when going at high rates of speed) This does not seem to affect the usability of the unit but just wondering if it will eventually. I dig this unit and would rather not take it to get service if I dont have to.

I found pictures. It looks like it's an early version of the '38. Apart from the nameplate I can't spot any obvious differences.

I'd say it's an un-american version of 38

I thought it was a 38, when I read the ad, bought it, and took it home later upon reading the machine I noticed it was a 33-8 and upon reviewing the ad I bought it from confirmed it was a 33-8. I guess I figured 33-8 is short for 38, but its not. I must say, aside from the wobble, it is a sturdy great unit!

I'm pretty sure its the same, but sold in Japan under the TEAC brand. I don't think it was marketed or sold by that model in the US.

until somebody come over with a mixer and do something about it Any mixer would do, I suppose... as long someone knows what he's doing
