Hey peeps, both happy and sad,

here's another classic for your amusement!

I think I'll manage to shock most, by playing a vibraphone solo. A really slow and predictable one, it's hilarious.

As always, this is a finished piece, so you don't have to dig up constructive criticism. Just tell me how much you love it and I'll be happy as Larry with that :D (Speaking of which, where did trueeurt go? Sorely missed :( )

And I must say, nice job once again. Very nice job. :D

good song. I like the voice it's really unique. I thought great instrumentation. Maybe more body to the snare would be good for this type of song.

Yeah, sounds like a song people would dance to (Don't tempt me to start dancing, you'll regret it :D) Nice relaxing rhythms & the clean guitar tone sounds good. The vibraphone solo was actually cool, pretty short though, you could have really extended that out into a vibraphone epic! kidding...

Nice song ;)

Heapsa thanks for listening guys :) and even more for telling me you liked it!! i live on that :D

Great vocals/harmonies...this does sound kinda like a last call kinda tune before the lights come up...brings back bad memories of being the only guy left sitting at the bar while all your buddies are out dancing/hooking up :( !

well that's what music is supposed to do right?Stir emotions/memories...you guys succeed in that department...nice tune!

thanx variax :) glad you tuned in so well!, we wanted to capture a lot of vulnerability in this song, but it's kinda dangerous ground with the lyrics.... the last dance is a metaphore for the last chance to have a change.....it's now or never.... but it's not gonna happen..... and you see the moment drift away.... and we seem powerless....

Deep, eh :D

Nice tune Madmush, and the vocal gives the song a likeable quality. The guitar has a beautiful tone. The organ's a good addition.

OK, it's a finished piece but I'm going to comment on the mix anyway just for the hell of it. :D

I think the guitar and vocal need a little dynamic control - the overall level of each is good but they have occasional peaks that are a little too high, IMO. I like the vibes solo, but I'd like to hear more of the mallet strikes... they're getting a bit lost in the mix there. Kick might have a little too much high end. So there.

thanks for listening, tim!, i did a cover earlier and claimed you played the solo on it. Did you get a chance to listen to it? if not, do look it up.... :D

Just listened...sounds just like me. :D I actually have a decent electric but I just don't have a gentle enough touch for the light strings. Classical guitar, though it sounds soft and gentle a lot of the time, actually involves a bit of oomph in the fingers to get a decent sound, and it's tough to ease up so much. Or maybe it's something else, who knows? Maybe I should string up my electric with an .012 set like Finster does. That's the gauge I use on my st str acoustic... but I don't play that one all that much either, heh-heh.

0.12!!!, i did play electric with 0.11 for 7-8 years, but it was more because i was under the misconception that it affected the sound in a suitable way... i don't suppose they even manufacture 0.12 strings for electric? But then again who's to stop us from using any strings we like :D let's put piano strings on.

your stuff is about the most harmonic one can hear, and it's excellent, but i like to "dabble in the black arts" - playing false on purpose. I guess there's a theory for that also, because even though my ears are pretty flexible (i can flap with them) only certain "false" harmonies sound any good. I do need to study theory a bit more....
