The King covers Judas Priest covering Fleetwood Mac!!

The drums really sound a lot like on the Judas Priest version. Hmm... Sounds like your hand kept missing the hihat when you were drumming :D

That left guitar part around 1:40 sounded really detuned. The guitar tone is fitting for the song and I like the vocals are good also. The vocal mixing is a bit reverb-heavy, but I remember the JP cover having that same thing. After all, it was almost the 80's when they released that. But, good job. The outro didn't sound right. I think you played that part a bit wrong. Better check the tabs if I were you. Still, the mixing was good.

Yeah I messed up the ending between the axes and the bass, but I liked the feel of it so I left it as is. HEY!! I didnt study any tabs I picked that one all up by ear. Thanks for the listen I need all the tips you can give.

Well, I don't use tabs either, unless it's a hard solo or something like that.

Nice cover, King! My only gripe is the Vox could have been just a little more up-front in the mix but we are talkin Metal here. :D

I liked the ending. Kinda throws ya for a loop. ;)

Yeah, this one's great!

Nice playing, nice recording.

All your stuff pretty much blows me away.

;)

Where's the falsetto at the end??:D I always loved this song, Mac and Priest. Yeah, I noticed one of the guitars was a tad flat. Still, good job.

I never heard the original(s). So I can't compare it to anything.

Real great tone on the guitars and bass. I really liked that. Good lead work as usual.

What was going on between 1:31 and 1:34? Some weird kind of panning. Don't know if that was intentional or not. I thought the lead vocals could be brought up. They seemed to be competing with the guitars for space.

Also noticed the lead slightly out of tune. But not real bad.

Good feel to this one.

I was trying to double the lead line and that resulted in the weird panning effect.

Dude....... Elvis............ King............. ...........when ya cover Halford, Ya GOTTA do the highs......... Youve just gotta........ I was waiting for it........ expecting it........ .. I leaned back, grabbed my seat firmly, and fully expected to be nutted by some shreiking high note...................but, (sniff) it never came.....
:(
(otherwise, cool cover my man:D

........when are we gonna hear more of your own stuff?

Hey El--Cool cover! Peter Green wrote some great stuff and this proves that you can change his stuff around and it still works. I dug the guitar sounds and the groove. I've never been able to get a handle on that particular style. You do well, King!

don't know the original but the vocal sounded a little buried for me too.

the drums must be drum bunny because they just keep going and going :) if that's how they are in the original I say improve on it and put some breaks in IMHO.

The mix is pretty good and guitar sounds are cool.

cheers

rock and rollll!!!!! in my best halford impersonation

i've never heard this song, but you sure have captured that judas priest vibe! headbang worthy for sure!!!!!! nice playing .

Thanks for the memories!

This brought back thoughts of all those backyard keg parties I played back in the early '80's.

Crazy days!:D

I thought I commented on this because I listened to it a while ago.. sorry man.

It was great hearing this.. Yeah I could probably pick it apart, but I enjoyed it.. so I'll leave it alone. :)

I used to play this song when I was playing drums for a band.

The best version of this song is on 'Unleashed in the East' (live in Japan) It also contains the greatest version of 'Victim of Changes'

nice job for the most part..

Love that sound.......nice and full but with differentiation between the axes. very cool! Biggest thing I noticed is the voice is buried. Really could stand to come up. The rest sounds good to me. Also I agree with Fed about the drums needing some fills. Nice work.

My next post will be an original, I am working on it now if I could just keep my wife off of my back long enough to work on it!!

Move over Rover, and let Jimi take over!!!
