here is there list of Greatest Albums of all times..

10. Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
9. Tupac Shakur (As Makaveli) - The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory
8. Ice Cube - Death Certificate
7. N.W.A - N---az4Life
6. Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt
5.Run-DMC - Raising Hell
4. Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die
3. Dr. Dre - The Chronic
2. Nas - Illmatic
1. Eric B & Rakim - Paid in Full

I'm confused- what should I be more shocked about? Jay being above Pac or LL making the list?

And why is Niggaz4Life there instead of Straight Outta Compton?

cause they feel the NWA showed the world that they can do it without Ice Cube writting for them(other then MC Ren)..even tho.. the DOC did alot of writing on it..it was a classic and make a statement to the east coast..that they got their own thang..

as for LL..i think he made it cause when it come to battling not to many can mess with him(Canibus)..dont know..he been in the game forever doin what is good for him..music for the ladies...

1. Makaveli
2. Ice Cube
3. NaS
4. Big Pun
5. Biggie
6. Jay-Z

Albums:

1. Illmatic
Nasty Nas showed us QB through his eyes here. We felt the atmosphere as our ears were enveloped by that East coast sound.

2. The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory [tie]
Pac took it to a whole other level with this album. No-one since or before was or is able to get to the level of depth that he showed on this album.

2. Death Certificate [tie]
This established Cube as the Western Public Enemy. The political messages are still relevant. I think this one scared the white folks even more than NWA since it was all real.

3. All Eyez On Me
I don't know how to describe this album except that it changed my life.

4. Reasonable Doubt
We got introduced to Jigga through his hustlin stories. He went from Jay-Z the hustler to President Carter- this nigga is a TRUE entrapraneur.

5. Paid In Full
Rah invented modern rap on this album. Short but all through ill.

What's yours?

Mine isn't really cement either for Makaveli and Illmatic on the #1 spot.

never really thought about it..since i have always been into beats more the lyrics..

but my list would proable be..

1 Rakim
2 Tupac (cause they teach a damn class after his work..now that real)
3 Biggie
4 Nas
5 Ice Cube

Albums i got to many cds to be trying to figure out whats the best..

but i think MTV is kindof close

How come P diddy aint listed?
He's 2nd in the list of most money (under Jay z)

Does that count for anything?

Man i may get flammed for this but any list and I mean ANY list without Talib common or Lauren Hill is incomplete. Now you may not like what they talking about but just from an mc perspective these folks is Ill.

Oh and my illa Jada Kiss is the most consistently filthy lyracist of our time. IMHO that nigga can be witty hard core and punch like a mutha,

I agree about Talib but my list isn't a full ten people.

And why would wack-ass Puffy be listed as the greatest of all time as an MC? He doesn't even write his own rhymes!

he must be doing something right. If you were making that dough with someone else's rhymes, whould you complain then? I think not. It's amazing how people hate the one who succeed. Whats wrong with you? Diddy wasn't handed that shit, he worked his a** off for it.

My beef with Puffy comes from my belief in his involvement in the
95 Pac shooting.
