I accidentally locked my own forum post. Sorry to anyone that wished to comment that couldn't. Please post any suggestions or comments, and ignore the fact that I asked for advice and immediately stopped you from giving it. Thanks!

:laughings: yeah closing the thread made it more difficult to comment

firstly...great little tune, had a real commercial vibe to it...well sung/performed..

I think the kick was a little quiet maybe a little less reverb on the whole kit, and the distorted guitar could come up just a tad....

tbh it sounds like a great mix to me....though Im on my PC speakers...but for a radio friendly teeny bop (in a good way) song Id maybe drop "ya lying buncha pricks" from the end :D

Thanks for the feedback. We're actually going to re-record the drums entirely and post a new version up somewhat soon. Also, working on another song that should hopefully be up. I appreciate any feedback, even if you just want to tell you that you love it or hate it as a song. I just want to know what everyone's general opinion of it is. Thanks!

No worries...the best way to get feedback is to take time out to listen to others and comment...its kinda how the community works and I know some folks cant be arsed listening to tracks from people who dont actively take part...then theres folks like me that'll comment on anything without actually helping any lol

welcome aboard anyway :)

Yeah, good bubble gum pop, very good hookline.
Good voice. Drums could sound a bit brighter and have some more pop to them.
Nice work!

Joey :)

Great Pop song, very catchy, good arrangement as well. I would bring down the guitars and bring up the drums. The vocal's the best part, make sure it isnt buried. Overall very impressive.

Thanks for the comments everyone. You're right kcearl, and I will try to be more active in the community rather than trying to just soak up other people's comments. I just feel like I might be better commenting on the song writing or performance better than recording techniques. Sometimes I feel a little insecure critiquing someone's mix/recording that probably has been in the game a lot longer than I have. Thanks!

Love this song.

Great song, I realy like it. Excellent vocals. You need to work on the drums a bit. I think the snare could use some more pop and the cymbals are a bit weak. I agree, less reverb. One last thing, I think the backing vocals are a tad quiet, could come up a bit in the mix. Other than that awsome job.

p.s. This is my first post on this forum :)
