To the guy who was asking what mic to use for a THICK guitar sound...
I was given an 8 track digital recorder (tascam porta-studio), a band, 2.5 hours, and a single SM58 and told to do a demo. For monitoring, I was provided with a pair of sony consumer headphones, and a 6 channel mono PA system. The recording space was a carpeted 9' x 12' room, and that was, of course, also the control room.
1 Mic, 2.5 hours.

Anyone got similar projects they had to pull off? Anyone wanna give me the christmas present I really want -- a chance to do this in a real studio in Toronto, monday to friday, with more than one microphone?
