the new electro harmonix pre is all tube and its supposed to be excelent. lot cheaper than the brick too.

Don't get into store credit and high-interest credit cards for crap like that. If you're a hobbyist and you can't swing a few hundred dollars for a mic pre, you either need to get an extra job or look into one of the more affordable options. Financing gear you can't afford is asking for trouble.
 
what is the sound difference between a dmp3 w/ v67, at4047 w/dmp3
brick w/v67g and brick with at4047....what is the difference between the two mics? is it very noticeable?
