The bass (bottom) in a mix is always difficult. Here's a short clip comparing a Dry Bass Gtr against the same clip processed with MixBass (PSP) and LFPunch (Voxengo). Sparingly applied these plugins can really enhance the bottom line.

Give it a listen... IMO the enhanced clip has more punch and low end and overall is more pleasing.

I have to agree,
It does give it more "fullness" and much more noticeable and accurate low end basses

I heard a slight enhancement of lower-mid freqs, but it didn't sound like much that a compressor and parametric can't do...IOW I didn't hear much difference. Ya gotta graph that a visual representation?

OK, the second clip is a much better track to judge by. I'll certainly agree that there's more presence...Still, gotta graph?

there's significantly more low energy and a lot more going on than a mid level presence. I didn't dial it in as a Holy Cow difference. this is a move towards having it sit better in a mix

If you can't hear the difference or feel it, then most likely your system isn't able to produce it.

Ah, that is possibly the case (though your second track reproduced much better, too bad you missed the post where I clarified that)...

I uploaded the second clip because it was more transient in nature... but the setup was exactly the same
