The Blue Ball

Saw it, had to get it, and now I love it. Recorded some guitar today and it's the best sound I've ever gotten and it's only $199.00. If I still sang for a band I would use it on stage, sounds good and looks cool, way to go Blue.

I think this is a very interesting mic. I didn't like it at first but warmed up to it. It takes additive EQ very well. I think it's a new mic like the PZM was a new mic. I'm looking forward to the maginative uses people discover for this mic.

Yeah, I think it's butt ugly too (except the blue color)... and I would think that the large ball shape would make mic placement a flat out pain in the ass.

I don't have a love/hate thing with the Ball but I think it's for people with minds that like to experiment and create new sounds. It strikes me the same way the PZM did when it hit the market. It's a new thing. It'll be an acquired taste for a certain part of the population. Some people will never get it. I got to give it up to Blue for doing something so different.
