Some things I've noticed and pointed out to friends that are offend overlooked, not yet known or understood.
Probably the biggest thing I've noticed to just before doing a session is .... if your drive to your session don't drive with the windows open the wind tunnel effect can burn out your ears very quickly.
I first noticed this while driving to a live show for recording and running the PA it was a hot summer day with a 2 hour drive with the windows open (not to mention the radio blasting to over come the wind noise) upon getting out of the vehicle at the show .... a bit of ringing in the ears mostly the left ear closest to the window.
