YouTube - ‪art of mixing part1‬‏

A little background on this video series. The book that these videos are based on were for years, and still are, a widely used teaching instrument in Audio Engineering classes all over the world. The guy is a little difficult to take seriously at first, due to his amazing mullet. But soon into the video you will learn many techniques for mixing properly. The video is aimed to make stereo imaging, and sound sculpting , comething that we can see visually, thus making it more understandable. By using 3 key tools; Volume, EQ, and panning, you learn to crate a 3d layout of how you want to structure your mix. By far this was the most useful resource Ive found to date, Ive only been recording (with decent equipment )for about 4 months, and I have noticed a great improvement in my ability to forget about the equipment, and focus on the music. I recommend this video to Newbies, and seasoned Knob twisters, everywhere.

Im sure that alot of you have seen this video series, and I would deffinately like to exchange notes on what you found helpful in this movie. Thank you.

I learned that if I don't grow that mustache and mullet, I'm a lot less likely to get that herpe looking thing he has! :D
