Just passing the listens along again. This one is about ready to get some mixing and be done.

Band is called Poetry Of The Dead out of Louisville, Ky.

Kind of depressed, moody stuff, this song has a really good mood shaping quality to it I think. His drum kit was made by Egyptians in the King Tut days and I think still have the original heads on them ha!

The drum in the 2nd chorus is not a snare, its a weird tuned timbale sitting to the side of the kit with no mic on it. Gave it a weird feel/sound.
We pretty much went with what sounded different for this, so it might sound weird to you at first, but it grows on ya. ;)

Overall, sounds decent. There are some timing issues with the guitars during the intro. I'd turn down that rain sound a few notches. You might want to consider giving a little more frequency range to the acoustics. It sounds like you rolled off all the lows. That bass (5 string?) is so low, that you really don't have much energy in the low mids until the whole thing kicks in with the electrics. Everything sounds very clear, which is nice. Strong work.

I like it as well, there are some timing issues in the into. A agree with all the above suggestions.

Yes some timing issues and a bit of out of tuneness in the vocals at times.. But I like it alot.. AIC'ish....

Some neat things are getting lost in the mix. Don't know how to describe it ..

I think the acoustics lack som mid's or highs in the beginning before the dist starts...

Anyway, it is better than anything I could do... Great job!

I agree the bass should be louder. It would really help the chorus.
I like it.

Yeah, I brought up the timing issues at the beginning a long time ago, and he didnt seem concerned. Now it seems he is and I'm going to try to doctor it before we are done.

THe one we finished tonight sounds WAY better for some reason. I've discovered, or re-dicovered, a couple of nifty ass tools that I've kind of neglected that do a lot for some things in the mix. Coooo.

Anyone wanna hear another one?

I like the "voice", not neccessarily the vocals. the music is'nt my thing.
