The 1 inch 16 track fostex

I'm just curiuse, did fostex ever make a 1 inch 16 track reel to reel deck.
I have a faint memory about using such deck a couple of years ago, but at that time not that much into recording as now.
 
The only 16 track Fostex I've used is the B16, which was 1/2". The other was the R8, 8 track on 1/4". I don't think they made a 1" 16 track but I may be wrong.
 
I dont' think so either though, but they did a G24S which was a 1" 24-track.
 
Tight and cozy. :)

But it's still better than 8-track casettes.
 
I don't know, A Tascam 238 could probably give a R-8 a run for its money.
 
Yep, by one track. It equates to 1/8" three-track, not taking into consideration the width of the guard bands or separation bands.

Oops, I meant four-track cassette. Yeah, it's a LOT better than cassette eight-track.
