Just got my MIM standard strat upgraded to Tex Specials. What a world of difference. Stinging highs, round full tone. Sweet. :D :D

Yeah, you can't go wrong with the TS's, they give you that "cool" sound.

I spent the big bucks on a set of Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot's for my 50th ann. Strat, but once I slapped a TS in the neck postion, the Lindy Fralins had to go!

All of my strats and strat style guitars have TS's in the Neck and middle positons now (Humbuckers in the bridge though ;) )

I haven't tried a humbucker in teh bridge of a Strat yet, but I really like the TS there. I have a couple of hb equipped guitars (nicest of which is an Ibanez Artstar AS-120 with Super 58's), so I am happy in the neck hb department...

I just scored a free (well, a long term loan from someone going off for a minimum 3 year trip to Thailand) Epi Les Paul. I know it isn't the best guitar, but as it is free, I was thinking it might be worth upgrading the PUs in that one too.

i've had the exact same setup, with the exception of a hotrail on the bridge, for a couple years now, love it.
