This is my new band. We are making a demo CD to get gigs.

This song is really short because it will become part of a medley of other songs. (That's me on drums, BTW. All acoustic.) Has not been mastered. Just a basic mix, squash, and burn. I am looking for comments on the tracking and mixing, not really on the band so much. Thanks.

Sounds pretty tight. I would bring up the bass. I would also send the vocals to either a delay or a reverb and same for the synth.

I think it sounds really good for a demo. I think the vocals could be a little better. They sound a little dark. Maybe cut a little low mids in the vocal track and add some quick delay.

oh man... you need a real horn section in your band- it would sound oh so sweet!

Other than that, it sounds pretty tight!

Sounds pretty solid for a demo.
As Gerg said, I'd brighten up the vox.
As SloppyJo said, real horns would sound better, especially during the musical interludes.

For a demo though, this gets the point across. How accurately are you guys able to reproduce this sound live? If you're gig shopping, you want your demo to sound as accurate to your live show as possible. (Actually, if you could get some decent recordings of your band actually playing live, that would probably be even better.)

The higher synth horns really don't work - that's the intro etc. the bass line like ones work better.
the voice could use a little sparkle.
Real live would be nice.
A bit more bass.
Maybe you could interchange with the Jam's version...
Good so far.

Not much to add beyond what's been said. A little more brightness/clarity on the vocal. Nudge up the bass.

Good as it is. Real tight.

Sounds good but the snare to me leaves me wanting more body. there's not a lot to it, and same goes for the kick for me. I like the levels of the instrumentation, but maybe not have the guitar panned so hard to the left with not much audibly there in the right. Everything sounds a little dry to me.
