Hey, i'm new (kinda) to the home recording thing. My roommate has a digital 4 track, and i've screwed around with that, but there just isn't enough memory to accomplish much.

Anyway, after doing some preliminary research, the Terratec Phase 88 looks pretty nice. Priced at 299.99 makes it look even nicer. However, i can find absolutely NO reviews for it anywhere. So...is it any good?

Also, would i be better off going in some other direction? i'd basically be using my "studio" to record local bands in the area. Most of them are punk, not much to the music.

Thanks a ton for any response.

MikeyPatriot.

I'm kind of with you. I am planning on getting two Phase 88s because I need 16 I/O. It is a newer version of Terratec's EWS88 MT, which I can't even find for sale anywhere! Anyway, the Phase 88s have a better sample rate and are cheaper... so I think they are a great buy. I'll let you know when I get them how they are, and if you get 'em first let us know!

Haha, i'm glad someone FINALLY decided to respond. i just ordered mine a couple days ago (unfortunately they are backordered), so i'll get it within the next week hopefully.

Hey, the Phase 88 Rack will soon go firewire, allowing PCI users to upgrade or something like that. The Terratec guys just unvealed it at the Frankfurt Messe last weekend.

Cool!
