Hi, all...

I just picked up this Sound Card based on its reviews in hopes of using it to assist with recording my MPC among other things...I am afraid that there might be an issue with this as it is a USB and I have a new computer and an external mixer and can't seem to get this to work. In my computer I have a PCI Audigy card that is hooked up but disabled...(I disabled it). I don't know if this is causing a conflict as I cant even hear any computer Windows sounds at all (of course, I don't have any regular computer speakers hooked up to either sound card and am not sure if I need to (or just use my computer monitors). This computer was purchased with the sole intent of recording music....no internet (I am using another lesser computer for this...no word docs, nothing).

I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out connections with this as I have an external mixer with all of my MPC connectoins running in with 1/4" cables and trying to go from the main out of the mixer to the line in on the Phase 26 but it produces nothing.

Does anyone have any familiarity with this product and is it a wise choice to keep in my setup or should I go with the soon to be phased out PCI option (which I would rather avoid..going in to the computer and all that). Any help is appreciated and I can explain in greater detail if necessary...but basically I want to hook up all my gear (Alesis NanoBass, MPC, Roland XP30) and be able to use it with some software (perhaps Cubase, Reason, FL, not sure yet although I have some demos and whatnot to play with).

I am close to throwing in the towel with this card and goin either M-Audio or MBOX with Pro Tolls LE, but I'd like to use what I have if I can, cause I think it is just my lack of understanding of cable routing that is causing my problems. Any help is greatly appreciated..
