Ok then. I dedided to buy the EWS88 MT. I'll just trust terratec. I have a terratec now on my A7V, and it worked well before XP, now (with XP) I sometimes get clicks and pops, but then again I DO use analogue drivers!
I have gotten positive AND negative advices on both the audiotrak inca88 and the Hoontech C-Port. I searched the web for reviews. The terratec was the only card that I could only find positive reviews on......
It seems that the problems with KT133 chipset mobo's and soundcards only exist for mobo's with a VT82C686B chip. This is the case for the ASUS A7V KT133A.
My (older) mobo has a VT82C686A chip... No reports on that...
I hope I get lucky..... Otherwise I'll arrange another PC. We're buying the card with our band anyway
