Hi all,

I searched around the forums to see if any one else has had issues like this, but I guess not (maybe it is just me!)

Basically, whenever I record some guitar playing (straight into the soundcard), even if the track isn't very long, the tempo slides out nasty like.

To make sure it wasn't just my bad sense of tempo, I played along with a midi drum track. When I then played back the recording with the drum track, within a few beats the guitar has slowed down.

I'm recording to wav format using Steinberg's Wavelab, and then bringing it into soundforge (where the midi track was). Computer is a AMD 3200+ with 1GBRAM (integrated soundcard, ya i know, but meh).

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hey

I think the problem is not latency since you didnt have any problems playing along with a drum track ( which i assume you did on the same comp).. i think the problem with this is that you might be recording into wavelab @ a diffrent starting point.. all you have to do is export it in equall lengths... once youre done recording in WL. then take it to SF and place it @ beat 1 from where the midi track starts.. if you even have 1 sec of time delay @ the very start it starts to add up once you go further down the track..so when you record into WL make sure you start @ beat one ( with the same tempo youre MIDI track is in SF) and then export the wav file from beat one to the end and when you place that file in SF you shouldnt have a problem...
