templete lacking audio?

Here is a strange one. For years I have used template of songs ( mostly live gigs) for having my pre sets all ready to go for importing songs. For some reason on a new project when I do my usual, import first song, get it mixed close, channel comp. Etc. I then cut all the audio tracks and save as template. This time after I did that, every time I open up the template for this project it comes up with "some external audio may be replaced with salience" What’s up with that?

it's referencing some audio somewhere in the layout that no longer exists...
 
Yeah, and what also is strange, when I import a new song with the template and then go to play song, the same message comes up but no audio is missing. Must be still referenceing the same missing audio from naked template. Weird
 
You can try highlighting each track and using the Apply Trimming command (you may be able to do all tracks at once via Select All and then Apply Trimming - although I'm not sure).

This procedure will delete any audio that has been hidden via slip editing. The resave the project and reopen.
