agreed.. worst navigation.. terrible design.. it's all way too busy..

simplify it.

You shouldn't have to write a paragraph on how to view your video.. it should be self evident..

some of the actual graphics on the site are kinda neat.. has that sloppy grunge look (the design term not the shitty genre of music).. I'd suggest just going through your layout and simplifying it.. get rid of the "annoying music thing" as you called it.. basically anything that doesn't need to be there shouldn't.. The most effective websites are the ones that are simple, easy to navigate yet still have lots of power to the images and the concepts.

no none of that carry on.
i chose them because they can allow content download so you don't need to buffer that crap everytime, you get it on the machine straight in the my videos folder..

I still don't know what it's all about i have some theories but i can't put it to a single thing as i said i don't know how to play the songs I wrote so would have to re-learn them the lyrics i make up after the fact.

this the second song i ever wrote.

The guitar is in B I don’t know what a “Key” is I’m sorry people keep saying “what Key is it in?” I don’t know the one that opened my guitar case that day! That’s a lie I don’t even lock it.

I’m not pissing in your pocket I know a key is something to do with where it is played on the guitar but I never bothered to learn what they are.

But the top string (low string) is tuned to B. then the rest of the guitar to that.

It’s a magical song I hope you like it …..welll….ha ha

The vocals aren't really sitting very well in the mix.. too loud..

i'm not huge fan of the distortion sound.. it's a bit too much "fuzz" for my liking.

as for the song itself

i can't say much positive about it.. but it's not really the type of music i'd listen to..

Can't handle the vocal style at all.. it's too creedjam only not on key for me... you can probably take a little more time and get a better vocal take.

nothing stood out as being different or special.. again pretty "meh" again it's not horrible..

maybe if i liked that genre of music i'd be a little more pumped on it
 
I'm not gonna lie, by the way you talk I expected some sort of awful rap or hip-hop. (Not that rap/hip-hop are bad, but there *is* bad rap/hip-hop!) What I got was a relatively boring Beckish-type-song. For your second song, it's not bad, but you really shouldn't be talking this up like it's original or amazing or anything.

Were you to come into this forum with any semblance of proper communication skills and more than a little modesty, people might've been more than slightly more responsive and positive to your posts. As it is, you come off like a cocky 16-year-old with less-than-stellar grades in English class...

As for me Steve

I'm liking your stuff on Myspace there, i like the breaks, although my vocals are as intelligible on 1953 as your singers there, and my point is i don't want to know every time what he is saying because it is the emotion of the voice that will tell me something, then of course upon looking up the lyrics i would understand.

for example you know it's like why lay the heart out in a track where one is saying clearly and in a perfect pitch:

"oh i loved you baby......and now your gone...."

i mean i can't really pull anything from that.. i can try .. but i will fail.. it's all layed out there for me.. and it doesn’t say a lot to me. I’d be inclined to say “well shoot yourself if you really loved her.. that would be more interesting as well.”
sorry i just don't want to hear another song about a lost girlfriend.


as i said Art is about subconscious information transfer it is the ultimate transfer device i will not lie i once saw a Vincent van Gogh painting and instantly thought the thoughts “happy death” or a “sunshine death”

(i you can guess the painting i'd prove my point even further)

it's the weat field being cut.
I later on in my life hired a documentary from my library I was very poor and it was based on his writings Same painting was shown, his comment “this painting reminds me of my happy death” or to that effect.

I was young but that had a profound impact on me.

Art is information and feeling transfer, on the subconscious level.

yeah i like it a lot, as you can see our pure delivery systems tastes diverge but i appreciate any good Art.

thank you , yeah really i have moved on i'm not touching it it's a record of my development it was written somewhere after 2000 like 1999 or something.
1953 was written 2000.

Pearljam one of the bands with the most influence of our time.
Soundgarden more so.
Kim Thayil More so.

revolution; the rhythm guitar does not have to play a chord as such it can play an alternating melody in any tune to the bass.

revolution melody driven rhythm. with some exceptions to the chorus.

vocals are often another version of the third ultimate melody that would have been played.

1st. being the rhythm melody
2nd. being the lead melody

Bass holds the songs chord section were it is absent.

Amazing stuff.

it's cool that the songs are that old but why don't you post something more recent then?

just because a band has been influencial does't nessisarily make it a good thing :D

other than that i have no idea what you're talking about... you go off in the most absurd tangents... i thought you wanted a critique on your song..

i wasnt' expecting to be lectured on song structer and what instruments can do in an arrangement..

AS i can't actually play a guitar so a chord is a thing that is something that i don't do on purpose except that one where you put your fingers on all the strings and slide them up like a two finger thing.

i can't read music and i don't know what a "key" is.
except i'm sure it is to do with where it sounds right and not right.

i tune my bass to my guitar with a black korg tone works that's it's only job.

we are cool as long as the top bass string is the same as the top guitar string.

other than that i don't aim to sound like anyone. i mean we all love certain sounds as you said you are not into Fuzz, see i love fuzz not all the time but.
i liked Rami's music for that reason. only thing Rami your wearing your heart on you're sleeve i like more abstract.

i understand frequencies, mastering , and everything else.
