Magic Bag Of Sounds

theres a picture i found online. i got it at goodwill for $4 cause there wasn't a power supply and they didn't know if it worked. luckily i had lots of 12v adapters at home. everything works perfectly. i can't find any information online really. when was it made? how much was it at once? anything interesting i can do with this?

this thing is emitting a low hum whenever i play a note. could it be because i'm using a dc transformer? it has a plug for ac as well but i don't have any cable that fits it since it doesn't have a grounding prong

Well just play sympathetic notes and say it's an electric hurdy-gurdy. I mean, you paid $4 for this thing. They probably hid the transformer so they'd get $4 for it. :p

yesterday it was humming the entire time it was on, i was real sad. but now its back to just humming when i hit a key. so strange..

turns out it only hums when its through the built in speaker or the powered output, if you plug it into the headphone jack theres no hum
i'm thinking of selling this now that i know it works, as i'm a beginner and this isn't very useful to me
