Technics SU-G75 Stereo Amp Problems

Just bought this amp today. Seemed to work fine when the guy showed it to me. Now I have it home and there is a high pitched beep that is constant unless you crank the volume, but the ring/beep gets louder with the volume. There are some other things Im trying to work out, but this is the biggest issue. The beep is there throughout all the channels, cd, phono, tuner and the others. Does anyone have an Idea as to what may be going on?

That sounds like a bad capacitor. Open the cover and see if any of the caps look like they've split open on top. Unplug the unit from the wall first, and do NOT touch the caps for at least 15 minutes.
