I aquired a teac x-3 and a 12 channel mixer...wondering if I can hook these two things up.

The mixer has phantom power so all the mics sound great, the teac only has L and R mic inputs, which I think is the problem, cannot record over anything on the tape you just recorded.

The mixer has tones of in and outs on it, but the TEAC x-3 only has RCA in & outs and the two L & R mic inputs.

I wanna use this mixer with the teac but can't find a solution......any help?

Thanks, apperciate it.

What is it that you ultimately wish to accomplish by connecting these things together? Are you trying to record live to 2-track?

there should be line-ins on the recorder somewhere. get a couple cables w/ 1/4" on one end and RCA on the other (or RCA cables with RCA to 1/4" adapters), connect the main Left and Right outs from the mixer to the LINE-INs on the Teac, set your levels and record. You will most likely only be able to record 2-tracks live at once.
