Learning, always learning
Okay, so I acquired an A4300SX from a friend, as I stated in my other thread. I fired it up and ran a tape through it to give it a quick test. I was excited, both meters light up! Everything works, except the record and pause lights. I haven't tried to record with it yet. I need to clean this thing up a bit before I get serious with it. The heads look good, with the exception of some oxidation, as with other parts of the transport.
I flipped this thing around, and saw 4 inputs and 4 outputs.
Is this thing a quad player of some sort? I'm really curious to find out what the story is behind this model. It's got 4 heads and that was a surprise to me; albeit a pleasant one! The only down side to this is that it is only a 7" reel format. I can live with it though. Now it's going to be an internal struggle over which deck I want to use each time I decide to spin up a 7" reel; the RT-909 or the A4300SX.
I flipped this thing around, and saw 4 inputs and 4 outputs.
