Anyone use this? Is it the TD-8 without the editing capacity?

(For anyone considering a pintech/alesis combo I recently got a pintech kit (beautiful piece of drumware) and the DMpro. And I found out that although pintech recommends alesis stuff on their website, alesisware doesnt totally work with pintechware i.e. the dual zone cymbals become single zone. I didnt know this until I set it up and a little paper dropped out and explained this.)

I have not actually played (or heard) a TD6 - but I did talk to a Roland rep who indicated that the TD6 will not have much editing (some individual drum tuning, EQ etc. - but no depth sizes and no on board effects).

It is suppose to retail at about $1200 and should be in direct competition with the Yamaha DTExpress. I'm eager to see one and try to determine if it is better than the Yamaha.
