Had a few minutes to mess around so I thought I'd post this up for everyone to check out. This is my Taylor 110, my Taylor 210, and my grandmother's Taylor 314 recorded back to back to back without touching the mic/preamp setup. These are bone dry recordings using an SM57 > DMP3 > Delta 44 (no EQ or compression).

I just played a few different open chords, arpeggiated chords, power chords, and barre chords to get an idea of how each one sounds comparatively in each of those categories. They all have Elixir Nanowebs that have been on for a few weeks and I used the same pick for all of them.

Listen! Discuss! Enjoy! :D

Can't listen right now....but aren't there more than one body size for each of those models? Just curious.....I have a 110ce that sounds fantastic. It is a little thin "solo" but it cuts really well in a mix of heavy distorted guitars.

.....the fun is having us guess which is which!....

These recordings sound great. Each guitar remains consistent as you move from moderate to heavier strumming (where a guitar can sometimes overpower and loose it's quality - and doesn't happen here).

You should explain your mic placement and your recording environment, because it sounds very nice and neutral.

Frankly, I am amazed considering your setup!
