Tascam US428 losing program

I have spent hours waiting...yes waiting on the Tascam help line. They gave me e-mail instruction on how to re-load the 3_30_exe driver software program for the US428 it is real weird. The computer starts the entire process 3 different times. Fine it is up and running as controler for my CubaseSX3..........Trouble is every time I turn off my computer and turn in back on....POOF the entire Tascam 428 program is gone. Yes gone. Now I reload the entire sequence...then record some stuff...then same thing happens....the Tascam files won't stay......I have used this 428 ( the little bastard I call it) for many years. Just started over and formated HD and reloaded all my programs and upgraded Cubase SX2...SX3. Now this deal. Any coments I would appreciate. Sometimes I wish Tascam was easier to work with...........but what is?

428.....now loaded and working..but tascam didn't do it.

I found an old copy of a 3.09ver driver for the tascam I used way back on 98se. It loaded up and my us428 is working and staying on the the computer now...where as before with the new driver 3.30 when rebooting the program was gone.

Glad I didn't rush out like the Tascam fellow said and buy a new copy of MS Win XP because they thought the XP that came with the computer was just a want to be. Gateway says its the real deal and so does the old driver. If it were not for the users our troubles would never get fixed. Thanks to the people in the trenches.......getting things to work inspite of Big Brother with NO toll free calls for help.

TGlad you got it working, hopefully when I buy my us 428, I'll have NO problems. *knocks on wood* :)
