Would this be a way to work around installing a new soundcard? It is a USB DAW controller. I might have a compadabilty issue with my computer and soundcard I was going to use for recording and was looking for a way around it. Using this product would I still have to have a special soundcard?
 
That will work but USB is a little limiting. As I recall from your other posts you wanted to record 4 tracks at a time and that is pushing the bandwidth limits of USB. You might want to check out the MOTU Firewire stuff if you are trying to avoid a PCI card.
