Tascam US - 428

Have anyone had any problems with WDM drivers with the Tascam US-428? I heard that Frontier Design is REALLY bad at updating drivers.......

A simple question before I buy......

I will be using it for Cakewalk Sonar.....

i haven't had a problem with either of my frontier design produced products.

i've got the us-428 (1 month old) and the wavecenter/tango24 (3-4 years old).

<------ Does not like the WDM drivers!!!

I can easily get 22ms latency with an un-optimized XP system using the ASIO drivers (in Cubase SX and VST 5.1). With the WDM drivers the latency rockets up to over 500ms!

Granted, I've never played with the WDM drivers to optimize them, but....500ms latency?!

now i've got to record something on the laptop just to see what the latency of my WDM drivers are.
