Tascam US-1800

I recently got rid of my Tascam US-800 because it had horrible memory leak problems with win7 64 bit. Does anyone know if the US-1800 has the same problem. I loved the US-800 but couldn't even listen to music with it without having to restart my computer an hour later.

My 1800 and 800 run fine.
Although, I hear music when my 1800 volume knob is turned all the way off.
I did buy that refurbished though to save $

The 1800 is great because the control panel for it is so much better compared to the 800.
And it's only $200 now at Sweetwater.

But are you running a 64bit system. My 800 ran fine on my old desktop which had win7 32 bit. But when I upgraded to a new comp with 64 bit I had the memory leak problem

Yep, Windows 7 64bit

I just wanted to confirm that you're absolutely right about this. Except, the problem is the software drivers and not the actual hardware.

I've experienced the memory leak with 3 different computers whenever the US-800 is in use. I've used Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Windows 7 Professional x64, Windows 8 Release Preview x64. I've used driver version 1.0.4 and 1.0.8.
